Insulite is used as a base for a wide variety of flooring materials (e.g: resilient tile, ceramic tile, linoleum, terrazzo, hard
wood or carpeting).Used to elevate floors, as a lightweight filler on floors and cultured stone production. It reduces impact
sound transmission between floors. It is one of the effective ways to reduce dead loads for multi-storey building (e.g.: not only
the floors but includes structural members when it is taken into consideration during design.)
Perlite
Perlite is a naturally occuring volcanic rock that contains 2 to 5 percent of combined water with-in the rock structure. When
subjected to heat, the raw perlite will expand 4 to 20 times. The expansion is due to the change in state of the combined water
found within the rock structure. Insulite (Construction Perlite) is a lightweight insulating aggregate, snow white to grayish
white n color, fire resistant and non-combustible.
